About us
Natures Goodies has sold organic and locally produced health goods from Ponsonby Road since 2009.
The shop began as a single stall at the Grey Lynn farmers market, run by two people who were tired of explaining that "natural" and "certified organic" are not the same claim. It grew into a storefront because customers kept asking where they could find us on a weekday.
We still buy the way we did at the stall. Produce comes from growers within a few hours of Auckland, pantry lines come from small New Zealand producers, and nothing goes on the shelf unless we can name who made it.
Most of our fresh produce comes from four market gardens in Pukekohe and the Waikato. They hold BioGro certification, they tell us what is coming into season three weeks ahead, and they take our packaging back for reuse.
If a product is organic we can show you the certificate. If it is not, we say so on the label.
Fresh lines travel under 150 kilometres from the paddock to the Ponsonby Road chiller.
Vegetable boxes and chiller bags are returned on the next delivery and reused.
We keep the market stall. On Sunday mornings you can find the same produce at Grey Lynn, and orders placed on this site can be collected there before ten o'clock if you tell us in the order notes.
